400 Block of Hayes Street
This compilation began in November 2023, as neighbors started documenting conditions on the 400 block of Hayes Street during the so-called “temporary” closure. Under the current permit term (Permit No. 1091787), we have now logged 31 consecutive weekends of noncompliance: unauthorized signage, misuse of public space, and zero enforcement from SFMTA. Thanks to all our neighbors who continue to send in images and videos. Together, we’ve chronicled the reality on the ground: a vital business corridor sidelined for an experiment that has long run its course.
