Restore Hayes Street to Public Use.

Takeaways from MOCAC Meeting June 17th 2024

Representatives of HVSafe attended last month’s MOCAC Meeting. Below are the listed items that were presented. The item of most interest to us was the presentation regarding the Hayes Street Closure by Andrew Seigner. Worth noting, the conflict of interest and over reach by the HVNA was remarkably evident: the presenter Andrew Seigner is a HVNA board member, the closed street permit holder and MOCAC committee member. Andrew is also pushing a petition for a permanent closure on Hayes under …

Founder Blocked from HVNA Meeting Again

Richard made numerous attempts to attend the HVNA Public Safety Meeting last night. He was blocked repeatedly. While this is not the first case of such problematic behavior by the HVNA this occurrence comes on the heels of a major fire that occurred last week on Octavia. Richard as a community leader and HVNA member was eager to attend as a means of being informed. He did register for the meeting a day prior so this fiasco of an outcome …

Freeway Commemoration Project Update

A quick note We’ve been asked if there are any new developments or details to share on the Freeway Commemoration Project. Here are our observations on what is unfolding as the red flags 🚩 🚩🚩 continue to persist. 2. Leadership conflicts of interest continue with HVNA and HVMA’s presidents at the helm. 3. To date we have submitted 3 disclosure requests on this matter: 2 in 2021 and 1 this year. An order of determination against Rich Hillis and the …
