12/6 – We’ve been informed that the Shared Streets Closure will only be continuing on the 400 block of Hayes.
12/30 – We’ve been informed today by SFMTA that the HVNA (Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association) has renewed the permit for the 300 and 400 block of Hayes. We want to understand the lack of outreach and transparency in the decision to extend and approve the permit request to include the 300 block of Hayes therefore HVSafe and the HVSBA (Hayes Valley Small Business Association) have reached out for insight from the SFMTA. We do not support repeating this closure on the 300 block, which has had a negative impact on struggling retailers. We’ll keep you posted with any forthcoming updates.
