Cement Installation on Octavia at Page
We have been prompted of a new cement installation at Octavia. We’ve listened to a number of public safety concerns community wide and have voiced these concerns with City Agencies. Explosion on Gough
In light of the recent explosion on Gough, we reached out to SFPD Northern Station for insight. Per the Police Captain: There was a small device that was set off in the area of 355 Fulton between Franklin and Gough. There was damage to a business plate glass window, but no civilians were injured. I was also made aware that this has happened recently more that once. We are investigating and will be following-up to hopefully identify who is responsible …
Bike Station on Grove
An insight on process Neighbors reported in on July 15th that a new bike station had been installed on Grove and Laguna. We checked in with the Bikeshare Manager at SFMTA…here’s what he said: The Laguna/Grove station was recently relocated from Fulton/Laguna due to construction needs related to the incoming paving project. We received notification of a pre-application meeting for a restaurant and bar at 203 Octavia. It’s been brought to our attention that the person disseminating this information is both a HVNA board member and MOCAC (Market & Octavia Community Advisory Committee) member; it’s unclear why this individual is offering permit services in this capacity. We view this matter as a potential conflict of interest.
Lower Haight Fire – 248 Divisadero
Consider Making a Donation Our neighbors in the Lower Haight have shared a GoFundMe campaign to help support residents who lost their homes as a result of yesterday’s fire on Divisadero.
