Neighbors reached out this am about the incident that happened late last night at Webster and Grove. We’ve made an inquiry to Northern Station to get more information. We will provide an update once received.

Good morning, here is what I can share with the public at this point:
SFPD - Incident Type: Homicide SFPD - Secondary Incident Type: SFPD - District of Occurrence: Co. E -- Northern Station SFPD - Incident Location: Grove St/Webster St SFPD - CAD Number: 212603548 SFPD - Case Number: 210603945 Date of the Incident: 09-17-2021 22:29:00 SFPD - Preliminary Info:: Officers responded to a shotspotter activation and located a victim with gun shot wounds. Victim was transported to SFGH, where he was pronounced. I will get periodic updates from our Homicide Unit as the investigation moves forward.

Update September 28th from Captain Yep:
“Northern station has saturated the general Western Additional and Fillmore areas based on information there is a probability of gang related violence and retaliation. The groups involved are active in the greater Bay Area, so future violence could also take place outside of SF. We communicate with our Investigations Division and SVIP for updates and information regarding our deployment strategies.”
