Attention Mayor London Breed and Board of Supervisors:

We oppose Judge Ryu’s injunction prohibiting our City from enforcing its laws against public camping and demand that our City fulfill its mandate to protect and serve San Francisco residents.

We need our City leadership to deliver on sound solutions to get people off our streets. The current approach to address rampant addiction and mental illness on our streets has proven itself ineffective and is taxing our City’s funds and resources. Solutions should include utilizing empty City owned properties and interim housing access (that does not cost $60k/per tent/per year), recovery and wrap around health services.

After living with homelessness for more than four decades, we the residents of San Francisco demand swift action on ending this crisis. Business as usual is no longer an option.

Sincerely,
Hayes Valley Safe
