This correspondence documents conditions observed during Week 62 of the Hayes Street closure (Permit No. 1316522). Across both permitted closure days, core operational requirements of the permit were not met. Conditions remain consistent with prior documented weeks, including the absence of a delineated emergency access lane, no posted No Parking signage or lawful public notice, no on-site management during closure hours, and continued unpermitted commercial activity within the public right-of-way.
Continued authorization of this closure, despite a sustained record of noncompliance, raises serious concerns regarding oversight and equitable administration of the public right-of-way. We again request that SFMTA revoke Permit No. 1316522 and restore Hayes Street to lawful public use.
