Media/Press Inquiries

We do our best to respond to media inquiries via email.

Our position: Trust in San Francisco media has eroded.

In our view, the current San Francisco media landscape exhibits a clear bias toward controversy and often caters to specific political interests. This has led to a troubling disparity in how neighborhood groups like ours are represented. As advocates on the front lines of critical issues impacting Hayes Valley, we’ve experienced this bias firsthand. For this reason, we have refrained from speaking with the press and remain committed to maintaining our voice through our own communications and media channels.

While we are cautiously exploring the possibility of working with a journalist or reporter, we ask that the following criteria be met:

  • We reserve the right to interview and vet any journalist to ensure a professional working relationship grounded in accurate and fair representation.
  • You must be based in San Francisco and have a demonstrated understanding of the challenges neighborhood advocates face in navigating local bureaucracy.
