This marks the 45th consecutive week of documented noncompliance under Permit No. 1091787 for the closure of the 400 block of Hayes Street. The conditions remain unchanged: cars, bikes, scooters, parked vehicles, and the recurring unpermitted “Signature” men’s clothing tent operating with no visible oversight. At this point, continuing to extend this permit is indefensible. The ongoing lack of enforcement or corrective action reflects a pattern of inattention that undermines public trust and harms a vital neighborhood business corridor. We again call on SFMTA to revoke Permit No. 1091787 and restore Hayes Street to its intended use.
