Since 2023, HVS has corresponded with multiple City departments regarding the community bulletin board located on City-owned land at Parcel K. Throughout that process, we have consistently requested a neutral public bulletin board that is available on equal terms to all neighborhood stakeholders. On Saturday, July 18, the weekly farmers market was not operating due to the Hayes Valley Carnival. Despite the permit authorizing a 3:00 p.m. street closure, the 400 block of Hayes Street was observed closed at approximately 10:00 a.m., consistent with the previously documented early closure on July 4.
