On Saturday, the Farmers Market was followed by a dog marketplace, further impacting an already constrained commercial corridor. Meanwhile, Parcel K remained vacant during the dog marketplace—an event that could have been accommodated at that location instead. Once again, existing Hayes Street merchants bore the impacts of additional event programming within the street closure, despite the availability of an alternative location.
We continue to request revocation of Permit No. 1316522 and restoration of the 400 block of Hayes Street to normal public use.
