The same permit compliance concerns documented throughout this permit term remained this weekend.
Signature vendor activity continued this weekend, with the operator present during Saturday’s closure Farmers Market, during the closure, and again on Sunday (see photo) when no closure was in effect. This follows our August 10 correspondence to City agencies regarding the continued expansion of this activity and the absence of visible enforcement. No substantive response has been received.
It is time for SFMTA to revoke Shared Spaces Permit No. 1316522 and restore the 400 block of Hayes Street to normal public use.
